Through timely research decisions, skilled workers training, and politics and economics, Austria can seize the opportunities presented by the “Industry 4.0” era. The 3. Wiener Produktionstechnik Kongress is dedicated to the technical challenges associated with these visions. During the two-day event, several high-ranking national and international representatives from industry and research will once again discuss current issues and report on the latest findings from research as well as industrial applications.
The 3. Wiener Produktionstechnik Kongress presented itself in an extraordinary light in 2016: the Chair for Manufacturing Technology celebrated its 200th anniversary, making it one of the oldest university institutes in this research field worldwide. The anniversary celebration also took place as part of the congress.
